From a Brabant kitchen to JBR

Hoi, I'm Jaime – from Noord-Brabant, now living in Dubai. Cooking is my hobby. My father was the cook at home, and the frikandellen and pannenkoeken I make today are his recipes, which I've been making since I was a young boy and slowly tweaked to my own taste.

I started sharing them with my housemates and friends, and they kept asking for more. So here we are: HollandSnacksDubai, run by me and my housemates from our kitchen in JBR. Why order imported, factory-made food when you can have it made with love at home? Homemade, with ingredients from UAE suppliers, no oil, no butter – and honestly priced. Gezellig, toch?

Are the frikandellen halal?

Yes. We use halal beef and chicken from local UAE suppliers only.

How do I cook the frozen frikandellen?

Straight from the freezer into the airfryer: 180 °C for 8–10 minutes, turn once. No oil needed. They also work in an oven (200 °C, 12 min), and if you prefer, they can be pan-fried or deep-fried the old-fashioned way.

Where can I pick up?

Pickup is in JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence). We share the exact location on WhatsApp after confirming your order.

How does delivery work?

We book a Careem rider for you; the Careem fee depends on distance and is added to your order. Hot airfried snacks can be delivered too, ready to eat on arrival. Sharjah and Abu Dhabi on request. We don't promise same-day – timing is agreed on WhatsApp.

How do I pay?

Cash or bank transfer. We confirm your total on WhatsApp and ask for payment before we start preparing your order.

How long do sauces and batter keep?

Mayo and curry sauce: 10 days refrigerated. Pancake batter: 2 days refrigerated – bake it fresh! Frozen frikandellen can be stored in the freezer for 30–45 days.

Can I order for a party, office or Dutch event?

Absolutely – catering and bulk orders (King's Day, football nights, birthdays) are done on request. Message us on WhatsApp with your date and numbers.

Can I cancel?

Free cancellation up to 2 hours before your agreed time. Once your order is prepared there is no refund.
